The longer carrier body, shoulder straps and waist belt ensure the Performance will fit well for all wearers all shapes and sizes. Like the Standard Carrier range, the Performance can carry babies from newborn to toddler on the back, front, and hip positions and supports the correct ergonomic position for both babies and parents.

The Ergo Baby Carrier provides anatomically correct positioning for your baby, promoting healthy hip and spinal development. The extra-wide waist belt and padded shoulder straps evenly distribute your child’s weight from shoulders to hip, avoiding neck and shoulder strain associated with some front pack carriers. Ergo Baby now gives parents the choice of extended strain-free carrying. The ‘Heart 2 Heart’ Infant Insert accessory offers premium head support and is required until baby weighs 5.5kgs and has developed head control (usually 3 - 4 months). The Infant Insert moulds around baby's head, ensuring the chin is not pressed to the chest and airways are always clear.
The Ergo Baby Carrier also features an adjustable sleeping hood. The elasticised edges mould around your baby's head and adjust to suit their height. The sleeping hood offers protection from sun, wind, rain and gives privacy while breastfeeding.

The Ergo Baby Performance Carrier features: Durable, high performance, water-repellent outer layer, ideal for outdoor sports and activities. Breathable mesh lining with a ‘CoolMax’ panel softens edges with interior rip-stop reinforcements and stitching at all fabric intersections. Carrier body approximately 2.5cm longer than the Standard Ergo baby Carrier. Lightweight design – a third lighter than Standard Carrier range. Waist belt extends 13cm more than Ergo baby Standard Carrier. NOTE: The Ergo baby waist extension is not compatible with the Ergo baby Performance Carrier. Foam padded shoulder straps and waist belt are streamlined and comfort contoured with thinner foam padding to provide cushion without bulk. Chest strap features ‘runners’ around the shoulder straps that secure and prevent the strap from being removed or misplaced. Premium buckles and clasps, tested by SGS, provide additional safety. Front pouch of carrier includes zipped pocket. High quality webbing, matched to carrier colour. Durability and strength tested to 40kgs.

The Ergo Baby Backpack and front pouch extend the Ergo Baby's capacity. They easily attach to the carrier and can also be worn separately. The retractable rearview mirror offers parents peace of mind when they are using the back carry position.
Exclusive to the Ergo Baby Performance Carrier is the Performance Cargo Pack. The Cargo Pack attaches to the side buckles on any of the Performance Carriers and features a generous main compartment with a side pocket, and a mesh outside pocket. With a Velcro flap, the Cargo Pack can attach to the carrier's waist belt when worn in any position.
